North African Industries

Libyan Oil Industry

Libya produced an estimated 1.65 million barrels per day. Libyan Oil and natural gas exports suffered a near-total disruption in the months of intense fighting to follow, as the minimal and sporadic oil producation that did occur was mostly consumed domestically. Nonetheless risks of security, state conesion, political institutions, industry oversight, etc. these are some of the problems still faces in libyan's oil industry. Upheaval has cut the 1.65 million barrel per day to 500,000 per day.

Agriculture

North Africa agriculture

North Africa have a very poor agriculture, only getting about 50 inches of rainfall a year. Also having subsistence agriculture, and poor endowment of cultivable land and water. Because of the poor weather and not being able to help there crops, north africa is going threw a food crisis. Ongoing food crisis have translated into significant increasing in food price inflation. In the region a lot of food riots are breaking out. And in 2011 people came to the conclusion that if failure to provide security, undermines the vary reason of existence of the political system. Meaning that the people are depending on the government to lower food cost and to help with farming. Only to produce food that is needed for the people and the local community or tribes.
